Knitting update – Finished projects!

I have been knitting a lot these past few weeks and I finished a few shawls I was working on. One of them is the shawl I was knitting with the yarn I dyed recently.

My dad always asks me why I am knitting so many shawls, if I don’t have enough.. Well yeah I have enough, to be honest, I don’t really wear them. I just love making them. I try to make them for my mom since she always wears them and I just like to give something handmade. 🙂

Maybe at some point I could sell them right? I can try and knit blankets or socks or a sweater but I get bored easily and I like working with beads and complicated patterns most of the time + figuring out my gauge is something I hate doing. 😉

Ok so first Heart on Fire by Lily Go

This must be my favourite shawl I made so far. I dyed the yarn myself, it’s a variegated yarn with orange bits and more red/brick colour patches. It doesn’t show on the pictures as well but I like that it’s not too obvious. It’s what makes it special. 🙂 I used the Plymouth Dye For Me yarn for this. It’s not cheap but it’s so worth it, the silver thread makes is special and it’s so soft. I can’t stop looking at it.

The beads I used are Toho Permanent Finish – Galvanized Saffron 8/0.
I made this for my mom, and she loves it. 🙂 It’s a bit of a tricky pattern sometimes but I love how it turned out.

The next one is Lilac Wish by Alina Appasov

I love this pattern and I will be making more in the future. It’s such a pretty pattern, very girly and ofcourse you can use a lot of beads, you don’t have to ofcourse, but I love beads. 😉

I used Artesano Alpaca Silk Lace 8568 Summer blue. My mom gave it to me. I love this colour so much.
The beads I used are Toho Transparent Rainbow Honey Comb 8/0 for the leaves and Toho Permanent Finish – Galvanized Starlight 6/0 in between the leaves.
Ofcourse I gave this one to my mom as well. I sent it to her before her sugery as a gift and hoped it would make her feel a bit better. It worked! 😉

Then I finished Sacre Coeur by Nim Teasdale

You can do whatever you want with this pattern. You can make it as big as you want, you can repeat one chart until the end or use both and this is why I love this pattern. I used my recently dyed yarn for this with Toho Rainbow Light Topaz/Sea Foam Lined 6/0  beads.

You can find all of these patterns on Ravelry, if you like to knit or crochet and you’re not a member yet, I think you should. You can find amazing patterns there. 🙂
